You can use Indesign CS 5.5 to make Interactive buttons. Here’s a tutorial to show you how.
The interactive side of Indesign CS5.5 is a great way for print designers to explore the world of interactive web design using a program they’re already familiar with. In this tutorial, I will show you how to transform something you’ve already created using Indesign into an animated button linking to your personal web page.
As a journalism student at Francis Howell North High School, I used the methods shown in this tutorial, along with other available interactive features, to help create a video story package for our student media website FHNtoday.com. The package included video interviews with nine FHN students talking about how the Harry Potter series impacted their lives. The videos are built into an interactive site resembling the wall of Hogwarts School, the familiar setting from the Potter series. To view this package visit www.multimedia.fhntoday.com/harry-potter.
