How to Legally Fly Your Drone Near Local Airspace

While many people think you can just fly your drone wherever and whenever you want if you are careful, that’s not the case at all. You’re going to want to check the airspace that you’re planning to fly in to see if you can do it legally.

The video here in this post can show you how to get airspace authorization using two LAANC-approved apps, AutoPylot and Aloft Air Control. I’ve used both and they are both super helpful.

Keep your authorization screen open or take a screenshot. If anyone asks about your flight, you have immediate proof that the FAA knows you are there and cleared you for takeoff.
