Adobe Premiere Pro has a great tool built into it’s Text-Based Editing panel within the program. The tool will quickly allow you to clean up filler words, like umm, and pauses with the click of a button. This video shows you how to easily utilize the filters built into the program and complete in a minute or two, a task which probably would have taken more than an hour.
This works great for editing audio-only podcasts, but it’s not as great for editing soundbites in an interview, or video podcasts, as you’ll likely be left with a lot of jump cuts you’d need to cover up.
