Seeking Web/database developer
The national Journalism Education Association, the world’s largest association of high school journalism teachers, is seeking a Web/database developer to manage the organization’s information technology.
The successful candidate will have exceptionally strong PHP, mySQL and WordPress skills. Familiarity with Filemaker, Google APIs and computer networking with Macintosh clients/servers would be a welcome bonus.
Our five-person headquarters staff, housed within Kansas State University’s A.Q. Miller School of Journalism and Mass Communications, serves 2,500 members across the country and world. To that end, the person in this position needs terrific teamwork, communication and customer service skills.
Working remotely with periodic visits to the headquarters may be a possibility. Kansas State University is located in the beautiful Flint Hills of Manhattan, Kan., whose regional airport has daily flights to and from Chicago and Dallas.
Annual salary for the position is $45,000, with benefits that include both health and life insurance.
