The Department of Communication at Virginia Tech seeks applications for an instructor position in multimedia/broadcasting.  Teaching would primarily focus on journalism in a multimedia and lab environment as well as able to incorporate online and convergence elements in instruction.  Candidates should be prepared to teach undergraduate courses among studio production, field production, and multimedia journalism.  Candidates should be prepared to contribute to curriculum development emphasizing cross-discipline integration of new media technologies and multi-platform journalism.  Teaching expectations are three to four courses per semester or equivalent within a lab environment.

Applicants should have a Masters Degree in communication or related field.  Industry and professional work experience preferred.  Degree must be completed by August 10, 2012.
