The Journalism Education Association today joined with 39 other journalism and open government groups to urge greater openness and accountability from the federal government. In response to a New York Times letter to the editor from White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest, in which he called for journalists to acknowledge President Obama’s improvements in government transparency, the coalition sent Earnest a letter to reassert ways they have repeatedly outlined with him that government transparency has gotten worse.
