I was reading SNO’s e-newsletter The SNO Report last week and came upon this nice guide for staffs.

There’s a misconception by many that all photos online can be used if you site the source. Some pull photos from their local newspaper while others attribute photos they are using to “Courtesy of Google.” Unless you have express written consent from these institutions to use the photos, you are likely breaking copyright.
