While Frame.io had been available as an add-on in the Adobe Marketplace, Premiere’s latest update has the tool built right into the program.
While there is a lot that you can do with Frame.io from going from camera to cloud or adding team members to your account, I think the features student journalists and advisers will benefit most from is how easy it is to share files for review.
Gone is the need to export videos and upload to YouTube privately or Drive to solicit feedback from others, editors can easily share anything from in and out points in a video to entire sequences with others who will be able to give comments and other annotated feedback directly on the video. Even better, these comments can then be imported to Premiere as markers on the timeline to make the feedback process much easier and more efficient.
