In light of the storm on the East Coast, JEA and MyBrightMountain.com have extended the deadline for their co-sponsored essay contest and scholarship competition. The new deadline is Nov. 5.

Two winners will each receive a $1,000 scholarship for college for writing, shooting a video, or producing a multimedia project on:

Write a 500-word essay, produce a two-minute video or a multimedia project following the same word/time limitations. All finalists will have their work posted on MyBrightMountain.com. One winner will be chosen by a panel of judges and another winner will be chosen based on votes onMyBrightMountain.com.
Entries are now due Nov. 5 and must be submitted online at http://jea.org/wp/home/resources-for-students/j/essay-contest/
