Toward the end of the 2025 academic year, the Journalism Education Association hosted its first adviser-only contest, the JEA Adviser Photography Contest, a themed photo contest in which advisers could submit one photo around the theme “That’s a Wrap.”

Six advisers entered this contest modeled after the National Student Media Contests typically hosted at each JEA/NSPA National High School Journalism Convention. 43 professional photographers and advisers judged the images. View the photo results on the JEA SmugMug.

The fall contest will open Monday, Aug. 25 and entries will be due Wednesday, Sept. 10 at 1 p.m. CDT. The fall theme will be announced when the contest opens.
