“Being a member of JEA offers support, guidance and help in ways that aren’t available in my building or district. I have become a better adviser and consequently a better teacher from my years of membership. I joined my first year of teaching and couldn’t imagine doing this job without the benefits of membership.”

Sandra H. Coyer, MJE,
Director of Student Media at Puyallup High School
Director at Large JEA Board Service 2024-2026

JEA maintains its commitment to scholastic journalism education and continues to provide affordable membership to give media advisers access to resources and programs to improve their teaching, advising and professional development.
