For more than 90 years, we have been educating teachers on how to educate students. Your commitment makes it possible for our programs to support and recognize those in our profession and the students they serve.
We provide training around the country at national conventions and institutes. We offer national certification for teaching high school journalism. We publish print and online resources on the latest trends in journalism education. We provide avenues for virtual discussion among teachers, as well as communities and mentoring to learn best practices.
If you wish, your support can also be directed to funds we have established to support the First Amendment through the Student Press Law Center, or to recognize superior student achievement through Journalist of the Year scholarships, or to provide assistance to college students pursuing a journalism education career with our Future Teacher scholarships.
