Giving to JEA

Since 1924, JEA has been leading the way in scholastic journalism and media education. With your support, we plan to continue these efforts for decades to come.

Beyond basic operations including scholastic journalism curriculum resources, outreach, contests, conventions and workshops, JEA typically designates more than $50,000 annually to support people and organizations advancing journalism education through scholarships, scholastic press rights, media literacy, mentoring and partnerships.

Donations through the buttons above support JEA’s general operations and programs. If you wish, your support can be directed to an endowment to support the Candace and John Bowen Adviser First Amendment Leadership Award or directed to funds we have established to support the First Amendment through the Scholastic Press Rights Committee or the Student Press Law Center; or to recognize superior student achievement through Journalist of the Year scholarships, or to provide assistance to college students pursuing a journalism education career with our future teacher scholarships; or advance scholastic journalism teacher training through mentoring and outreach.

Donations are accepted using credit cards online. You can also give by mailing a check payable to Journalism Education Association to 014 Kedzie Hall, 828 Mid-Campus Dr. S. Manhattan, KS 66506.
