The next Journalism of the Year Portfolio Polish will offer prospective award applicants and their advisers a closer look at the design section of the online portfolio.

The Zoom-in will be held Monday, Jan. 24 at 7:30 p.m. CST.

The panelists include two veteran journalism educators, Christina Porcelli of Florida and California’s Mitch Ziegler, CJE, the 2020 H.L. Hall Yearbook Adviser of the Year. Two 2021 state journalists of the year, Eva McCord of Michigan, and Catherine McCarthy of Florida, will also share their portfolios and field questions. JEA Journalist of the Year coordinator Joe Humphrey, MJE, will moderate.

“Eva and Catherine had some of the strongest design sections in the 2021 competition and I’m glad they will be able to share their expertise,” Humphrey said.
