Graphic identity

JEA's current logo was adopted in November 2011. The logo was produced by designer Norman Mallard with input from a committee of JEA members, chaired by Vice President Sarah Nichols.
Logo usage
You can download a copy of the JEA logo to display your membership in, affiliation with or endorsement from JEA.
The logo should appear in full (process) color whenever possible. When color is not available, use the grayscale version if possible, otherwise use the black version. In the rare occasion that a reverse or two-color version of the logo must be used, please contact JEA headquarters.
The letterforms of JEA are part of the logo lock-up and should not be used alone or without the apple mark.
The logo should not be encased in a shape.
There should always be a clearance of the height and width of an "e" around the logo's mean and baseline vertically, as well as the edges of the apple mark and "a" horizontally.
When using the logo online, it should be linked to http://www.jea.org.

Colors
JEA's reliance on purple is a result of its headquarters being located at Kansas State University since 1988, although the shade of purple is different from the university's official colors.
