The new iPhones arrived last Friday to their usual fanfare. While there were a few big changes, none was talked about more than Apple removing the headphone jack and routing audio through the lightning port. While most reporters recording audio rely on the built-in mic to gather audio, others have purchased external accessories to work through the headphone jack. Nieman Lab posted a story about this change and what it means for reporters. My interpretation: “Don’t worry folks, there’s nothing to panic about.” Check out what they had to say:
