Take a few minutes to help the Broadcast Education Association out with this survey

header-bea-cameraLast week, the JEA Listserv was shared on a message from Greg Luft, who is on the Board of Directors of the Broadcast Education Association. Greg was hoping to get some information from high school teachers to aid them with their mission. I’m placing Greg’s note below (with permission from him) for you to read a little bit more about their goal with this this survey.

The survey is a brief one, hope you’ll consider taking a few moments to fill it out.

Dear JEA Members:

For the past 29 years I have been involved in education of college-level journalism and television production students, while also working with the Colorado Student Media Association (formerly the Colorado High School Press Association). I have had the opportunity to work with Jack Kennedy, Mark Newton, and many others along the way.

Now I’m asking for your help with a survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/BEASchoolSurvey

Along with my job at Colorado State University, I’m on the Board of Directors of the Broadcast Education Association (BEAWEB.org), an outstanding academic group dedicated to advancing digital and electronic media education. We have a good deal of interest from high school teachers, and public school systems. As a result, we want to know more about how BEA can do more help to faculty prepare students for college. One possibility is to create a new, dedicated division in the organization. Another is to provide opportunities for faculty members and students to compete in production at a national level. A more simple option is to make sure everyone who is interested can be alerted to BEA resources.

Can you please take a few minutes to complete this 10-question survey? It’s short, and quick. The results will help me inform the BEA board about how we can contribute to your efforts.

Thank you very much for your consideration!
