Next to its logo for Digital Trends, the site claims to have “Straightforward product reviews, reliable technology news, and tools to navigate the digital world.”
It’s always exciting to run across something that automatically seems useful, hip, fun, newsy. Digital Trends seems to be just that.
The design is fun and engaging.
The stories are about the digital world, and all that entails — from stories that snare NASA’s usage of sensor badges for psychological stability to the popularity of Instagram communities.
The About page stated, “We are here to help you navigate an increasingly digital world.”
The news magazine’s voice is upbeat, genuine, and playful. “We aren’t freaking out when Apple product announcements don’t reverse the Earth’s rotation, and we don’t think Google is evil (Facebook … we’re still a little iffy on that one…).”
It can be serious when needed: “Digital Trends believes that the ubiquitous integration of technology into our everyday lives is both immensely empowering and often confounding, and we resolve to help our audience make informed decisions that allow them to maximize its potential.”
The other thing it does that I want to learn for jeadigitalmedia.org, is everytime a quote is copied and pasted into another site, the following automatically appears. Brilliant!
