Teaching students about Search Engine Optimization (also known as SEO) for web content is important to help increase visibility of the staff’s site and their individual work. The JEA Curriculum has a 65-minute lesson packaged and ready for you to use.
In the lesson, Search Engine Optimization, teachers will find what they need to guide students through an introduction to the topic. The 19-slide presentation covers a range of topics from defining SEO and Meta Tags to talking about why good headlines are important and why frequently updated sites rank higher in SEO than outdated sites.
This curriculum is available to all JEA members. To access the curriculum, you must be logged in to the JEA Curriculum site. Once you are, you can access this lesson here: Search Engine Optimization.
