While it is not crucial to understand HTML to post things to a WordPress website or other CMS, basic knowledge of HTML and how to embed code within web software platforms can open many more design options and doors for users.
The JEA Curriculum has a nice primer on this topic that helps users learn some basic HTML and how to embed code into a page or post. There is a Slideshow and Rubic provided for this lesson which is scheduled to take 50 minutes. Students will need a free Codecademy account and computer access.
his curriculum is available to all JEA members. To access the curriculum, you must be logged in to the JEA Curriculum site. Once you are, you can access this lesson here: Basic HTML and Using Embed Codes.
