iPhone Photo Academy offer showed up on my Facebook timeline

I watched 16 minutes of the 35-minute iPhone Photo Academy marketing video believing that I was going to receive strategies for taking better iPhone photos.

I stopped when I realized this wasn’t going to happen, but I did feel like the photographer had insights to offer students.

One, he’s young himself.

Two, he proves that he will save anyone time and money by sharing his own process:  he spent three years searching for the Holy Grail of good iPhone photography. He read both traditional photography books and specific iPhone ones, interviewed the best iPhone photographers, reviewed 22,000 iPhone photos, and created an iPhone photography contest.

Three, he displays where passion will take you:  he claims his blog has more than a million views and his Instagram account has 98,000+ followers.

What can a viewer discover 10 minutes into Emil Pakarklis’s video after he establishes his credibility?

  • The best iPhone photographers look at the world differently.
  • They take photos from really unique angles.
  • They take photos that tell stories and express emotion.
  • They take full control of their camera settings.
  • They know a photo is going to turn out even before they pick up their iPhone.

Although I stopped at 16:17 minutes into the video, he convinced me that more than talent, students need to know what they are doing.
